Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information Kinderdly collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. We handle personal information in line with Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and applicable provincial privacy laws.
Information we collect
Account & staff information — names, email addresses, roles, and payroll details (such as pay rates, timesheets and, where you use payroll, SIN and tax information) that your centre enters to run the service.
Children & family information— enrolment, attendance, daily activity, photos and guardian contact details, entered by your childcare program. Your centre is the owner of this information; Kinderdly processes it on the centre's behalf.
Payments— tuition and subscription payments are processed by Stripe. Card numbers are handled by Stripe and are never stored on Kinderdly's servers.
Usage data — basic technical logs (such as device type and pages visited) used to keep the service secure and reliable.
How we use information
To provide and operate the service — managing enrolment, attendance, communication, billing and payroll; to keep accounts secure; to provide support; and to meet legal obligations. We do notsell your personal information, and we do not use children's information for advertising.
How we store & protect it
Data is stored in managed Canadian data centres. Information is encrypted in transit, protected by role-based access controls so staff only see what their role allows, and backed up regularly. We limit access to the small number of people who need it to operate and support the service.
Sharing
We share information only with service providers that help us run Kinderdly (for example, Stripe for payments and our cloud hosting provider), and only as needed to deliver the service. We may also disclose information where required by law.
Retention
We keep information for as long as your centre's account is active, and afterwards only as needed to meet legal, tax and payroll record-keeping requirements. Your centre can request deletion of its data, subject to those requirements.
Your rights
You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information. If your child attends a centre that uses Kinderdly, please contact your centre first, as they control that information. For anything else, reach us via our contact page.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we'll update the date above and, where appropriate, notify account administrators.
